Query: Can someone recommend a good free website hosting for a business? It’s been sometime since I’ve made my own website (back when geocities was good). Would like to set up a simple web page for my neighbor’s business that he can easily edit once I get it set up. |

| Basic Requirement of a Business Website When you are hosting a business website it needs to be a paid one. Not necessarily expensive, a cheap reliable one will do. Why do you need a paid web host for your business websites? A business website or an income-generating site usually need huge webspace and considerable amount of bandwidth. Aside from that, it also needs unlimited ftp access, mailboxes, domain hosting and most all, a reliable server which has at least 99% uptime. It also needs a secure web hosting for transaction purposes, a user-friendly cpanel so that they can manage their websites easily and online stores tools like credit card processing and ssl certificates. For a business type of website, why not try Hostgator for almost nothing. Hostgator for Almost Free

Make an account and you have access to some pretty good web hosting.
You can connect to your website files via FTP; use Google to find out more about FTP and FTP clients, if you don’t already know how to use them.

As a business he wants to look professional and legitimate. A free service is not the way to go.
For one thing, there will probably be random ads on the page he can’t control
He will have a domain name that no one can remember
Difficulty getting in the search engines for people to easily find his service
Email address will not be customized to his business
